Well Water
The Environmental Health Divisions promotes the public health of Calvert County residents and visitors by permitting, testing, and certifying the potability of all individual water supplies.
Major activities include:
- Site evaluations for new wells and issue well permits
- Replacement Well Applications
- Issue Potability Certificates
Applications for well construction permits are accepted only from licensed well drillers.

Maryland Safe Drinking Water Study
Are you interested in FREE water testing in your home? University of Maryland researchers are conducting a study to understand contamination that may be present in Maryland's drinking water. They will provide free at-home water testing kits to participants, and additional free follow up water testing.
